Fall Fashion Starts with the Boots! |
rubylou writes, "I love Autumn in Idaho! We are so lucky to have this gorgeous change of seasons happening right outside our door. The morning air gets crisp, the days get shorter and the feeling of change sets in."

Lucky us, we live in a climate that allows us to take full advantage of all of the great trends...like boots! And lots of them! We've got ankles, mid-calf, tall, men's wear influenced, military, lady like, equestrian; the styles are endless. Here are a few ways to have some fun with your boot wardrobe this year. You won't find a more functional trend for our fabulous Idaho weather!
Ankle: You've seen them but how do you wear them? Easy. Cuff a skinny jean and pick an ankle boot that fits your style. Whether it's casual, flat, or a dressy wedge they'll look great with a skinny. And, have some fun with an interesting patterned sock underneath. Oh, you don't like the skinny jeans? Still? Well, no worries, you can create a great look with a relaxed boyfriend jean. Roll the bottom and go. An ankle boot with tights and a dress is also a great way to stretch your legs visually. And who doesn't like that?
Mid-calf: These boots are taller than an ankle. Most commonly seen as the motorcycle boot. A mid-calf boot can be worn with everything. Hidden under a boot cut jean or with leggings and a cozy tunic. Leg warmers are a great way to finish the look. A more feminine approach is a great lace-up mid-calf boot paired with tights and a dress. So lady like!
Tall boots: Always a favorite and always in. I love the flat equestrian style with leggings or jeans tucked in. Ruby Lou has a great tall boot with buckles from top to bottom. Try tall knee socks underneath with your favorite Fall dress. Even on messy snow days you can make a snow boot look fashionable by wearing them with leggings and an oversized sweater.
