T-Shirt Fringe Hair Tie |
catie writes, "It's like a pom-pom for your hair! This is a quick & easy, no-sew, no-glue project that costs next-to-nothing - a great little present to make for all of your friends. It's the perfect slumber party craft."

Materials:
Ponytail elastic {the thick kind works best}
T-shirt scraps in various colors
Ruler
Scissors
1) Cut
Cut T-shirt fabric into strips that are roughly 1 1/2" x 8". Tug either end of your strips to make the sides curl in - this will also stretch them a bit longer. You will need 10 - 20 strips for each hair tie, depending on how you want it to look.
2) Tie
Tie the strips onto the ponytail elastic using an overhand knot in the center of each strip. No need to double-knot, tying just once is enough.
3) Put Your Hair Up
Use just as you would a regular hair tie, wrapping around your ponytail a couple times. Once it is up, you can free any ends that are caught.
Other ideas:
~ Just add a gift tag - these are so pretty, they don't need any wrapping.
~ Put one over the top of a bottle of Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider for a fun & festive gift.
~ Wear them as bracelets.
