Treasure Valley Outdoor Guide
Your Guide to Discovering Idaho's Outdoor Recreation

Idaho is rich with scenic beauty, and the Boise area is abundant with numerous outdoor escapes surrounding the city. For more rugged terrain and longer getaways, you need only to hop in the car for an hour or two in order to be dropped in vast wilderness packed with excitement.

We have listed the most popular and well-loved summer recreation areas including lakes, state parks and reservoirs to which visitors and locals flock every year. And don't forget - where you can camp, hike and go four-wheeling, you can cross-country ski, sled, and snowmobile, so add these destinations to your winter plans as well! Also listed are several Boise mountain biking and hiking trails (also great for horseback riding), tucked-away Idaho hot springs, and a river guide for kayaking or rafting down a class IV! Are you ready to discover Idaho's backyard?
