writes, "It is time to stop believing your body will take care of itself, and tell yourself that your body is special. If you tell yourself, "someday I will find time to get healthy," then you are telling yourself a lie. Here are some reasons to start respecting your body today."
1) Losing weight is free! You don't need to buy equipment or pre-made meals. However, think of what medical treatments will cost you when you have been diagnosed with heart disease, diabetes, or arthritis.

2) Losing weight takes little time each day. Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier and get walking or stretching.

3) Weight loss can be achieved permanently. To lose weight and keep it off, you must address the source of your problem. You must accept your body and feed your soul and once you do that it will happen effortlessly.

4) Remember you can't over eat today and then eat less tomorrow. Your body requires that you eat 4-6 small meals a day to keep the engine running hot.

5) If you believe that you will take care of yourself after you take care of others, you are fooling yourself. Think about it, if you neglect your mind and body you will have nothing left. Eventually they will have to take care of you.

6) Your body is an extraordinary machine. Once you recognize what your body does for you every day you will begin to respect your body and give it the love and attention it needs.

Take into consideration these important things your body does for you everyday:

1) Your heart beats 72 times a minute, roughly 100,000 times a day

2) Your heart only weights about 10 ounces, yet it pumps 2,000 gallons of blood daily.

3) Your kidneys filter all of your body's fluids about 40 times a day.

4) You breathe 14 times a minute and 7 million times a year.

5) Your nose is able to detect 4,000 different odors.

6) Your stomach produces 2 to 3 pints of gastric enzymes. It takes 100 gallons of these enzymes to digest the food you eat in one year.

7) Your eyes see 36,000 images an hour.

8) Your body is made up of about 80 percent water.

One more thought to consider - would you want to be around someone who often lacks self-love and self-respect? Wouldn't you rather hang around people who are happy, and motivated? Once you become that person you so admire about others you will find friends suddenly appearing in your life.
