Adios, Summer
writes, "Guess what, moms?

It's the end of summer, our kids are headed back to school, and we managed to survive yet another summer vacation. We made it through the complaints, the sibling rivalry, the time-outs, and all the other behavioral issues our offspring succumb to while on hiatus from their studies. We persevered. We endured. And now? Well, now it is time to celebrate!

As in P-A-R-T-Y!! Yes, you heard me right.
"
Look, we've been spending all summer long trying to keep our kids busy with entertaining activities, lessons, classes and the likes. We've been trying to make sure our kids experience the ultimate in fun that this warm season has to offer. And now that summertime is almost history, our next challenge involves getting our offspring motivated for the upcoming (and fast-approaching) school year. And what better way to achieve such a feat then by sending your kids back to school with a "Happy New Year," soiree? It's a party with a purpose that bids a hearty farewell to summer, and an excited "hello" to the start of another school year. Yep, this is your opportunity to invite family and friends, roast some weenies, take a plunge in the pool, and soak in those last moments of summer before the busy school routine resumes.

I'll be having my bash this coming weekend...how about you? How do you bid adieu to summer, and what traditions does your family have prior to a new school year?
