Lunchbox Love
writes, "I know what you're thinking: haven't we discussed this back-to-school subject enough? Yes, but third time's a charm and I promise this topic has nothing to do with wardrobes, routines or anything similar. "
Better yet, this has to do with your child's lunchbox and the special contents you can place inside each day (other than food of course). Why not give your kid a little love at lunchtime and let them know you're thinking of them all day long? TIP: this is where you become the totally cool parent so it's time to pay attention.

Nothing says "lovin" like a lunchbox filled with love. So what kind of goodies can you shower them with to let them know they're on your mind and in your hearts?

1) Include a special treat that they wouldn't expect but would love (one piece of junk food every now and then won't hurt or lead to childhood obesity).

2) Send stickers of their favorite character. Include enough for their classmates.

3) Write a love note telling him how awesome they are, and what they mean to you. Awe.

4) Have a fun family trip or event coming up? Surprise them by letting them know at lunch (get creative here - maybe a picture of Mickey Mouse to indicate Disneyland...you get the drift).

5) The best way to give some love at lunch is to show up in person, with McDonald's or their favorite food...and hurry, before they hit the age where eating lunch with Mom and Dad becomes embarrassing.

Kids will love seeing these surprises from time to time and you'll love knowing how much they get a kick out of them.

What special things do you put in your kiddos lunch?
